Wadi Feiran ((フランス語:Ouadi Feîran)), sometimes also known as the Wadi Paran, is an wadi on Egypt's Sinai Peninsula. Its upper reaches, around the Jebel Musa, are known as the Wadi el-Sheikh ((フランス語:Ouadi Esh Sheikh)). It empties into the Red Sea's Gulf of Suez southeast of Abu Rodeis. It is associated with the Hebrew Scriptures' Rephidim. The Feiran Oasis was formerly known as El Hesweh. It runs for about of the length of the wadi, above its mouth. Its thousands of dates have drawn visitors for millennia and are currently inhabited by the Gabaly Bedouins. A monk from St Catherine's also maintains a small church and farmstead. Ptolemy identified the area as the site of Paran. The nearby hill is the Tell Feiran. ==See also== * Rivers of Egypt * Biblical Sinai * Desert of Paran 抄文引用元・出典: フリー百科事典『 ウィキペディア(Wikipedia)』 ■ウィキペディアで「Wadi Feiran」の詳細全文を読む スポンサード リンク
